    Yes its possible, I guess you mean the culinary type?
    I've grown it on from supermarket rhizomes, although I must say, its not really worth it.:smile:

    It likes it warm , even in winter, but grows reasonably well.

        Yeah, I was thinking of the root ginger you get in supermarkets - is it best just to buy it when it is needed then?

        It was that that I planted, or rather just sat on top of the soil in a pot.

        Didn't get any more root growth, it just put it's energy into flowering.

          My bit never flowered, it just grew leaves.
          Its more out of interest, rather than like to get anything really practical out of it.
