    Hi,

I'm wondering if someone can help me. I've scoured loads of web sites to try to determine how much water I should give my tomato plants each week. I've come across "1 inch of water" and 5 gallons - but in a 10" pot those two values are very different amounts. 5 gallons seems like an awful lot to go into a 10" pot each week!

Could someone please give me a rough idea in terms of gallons or parts of gallons how much I should give the plants each week. Note. They are staying in their 10" pots as I don't have any garden space available.

    Thanks alot.

Forgot to say: they are in a loamy / compost type soil.
