Guess what I've found

Went on a recconaisance mission to the kitchen. Found something good. Any guesses?

I'm going to reveal the answer now because I'll have forgotten by morning.

I found half a bottle of brandy I'd forgotten all about.

 

I presume with your post being at past one in the morning Dave , this is now a quarter bottle of Brandy

 

And you will have "forgotten" because it is now an empty bottle of brandy

 

I only had one glass

 

My Grandfather would visit his local on a Sunday lunchtime on the promise he would only have "one glass".

My mother recalled countless arguments between him and my grandmother when he would fall through the door rather the worse for wear: "But, I only had *one* glass!" he would argue vehemently ... and, of course, he told the truth.

Wasn't *his* fault they kept re-filling it
