I'm thinking of going on Friday.

Anyone been or planning to go?

Anything I must not miss? (apart from the rain)

Thanks simbad. I've got the tickets so I'll be there tomorrow. I've watched some of the coverage on iplayer and the show gardens look really good, there was also a long clip of a day lily grower who has a stand there (Brooks nursery IIRC) showing some modern daylilies - so I'll try and get to see that and the ones you mention.

      Hi John
Just been watching the Hampton court programme on TV , once you got past all the totally impractical show gardens, there was an item on a nursery that produce standard roses. They looked incredible in the half and quarter standard size. I have never really been a rose person - so maybe its a sign of getting old :D
If you do get a chance to see their display please drop a line on this thread

Sorry Harry I must have missed that rose stand, there were some spectacular displays especially in the hertigage tent, perhaps it was there.

simbad, I saw Polliesdayliliesand was sorely tempted to buy one or two but already had my hands full by then.

The upside down garden was a different idea and very popular, I liked it:

They give you mirrors as you go in:

The Virtual garden was my favourite:

And a Jungle/Tropical garden, just looks like home:

The crowds weren't too bad, the exhibitors were mostly on-hand and took time to explain their ideas so all in all it was a really nice day.

Great Pics John, glad you enjoyed it. Like the jungle one, but it would make me want to go fishing too much:heehee:

My neice won a silver gilt for her entry into the show.
Not sure what it was entitled. She won a bronze there last year so she has improved cannot be bad for a beginner into this sort of thing.
