I grew a packet of mixed campanula seeds from plantworld last year which I've been really pleased with, loads of different varieties, I chat on another website who've identified several varieties for me, put a picture of this one on,I couldn't find a variety like it by googling, everyone agrees its glomerata but can't agree on the cause of the variegation which is on just one central stem on every plant!!!!, some also have cream streaks and speckling, one said its a viris another said viruses don't spread through seed, don't know whether to cut of these stems (quite like them though), before sending a picture to plantworld thought I'd see if anyone on here knows :-)

The only way to find out if the variegation is viable is to take cuttings of those variegated stems.:dbgrtmb:

Hi Spruce, the variegated part is really vigorous but the leaves are stunted and mishapen which does make me wonder if it is a virus, may have a go at rooting it see what happens as if its a virus it needs cutting off anyway, l sat here for ages till I spotted that froghopper, lol.
        Good idea Ziggy, new discovery:-)
I'll definitely try taking cuttings Dai, secateurs at the ready:-)
Shiney and Ziggy you're a right pair :-)))))

Ziggy, alliteration is so much better than alloteration.:loll: Simbad ALL variegation is caused by a virus, that is why variegated plants can only be propagated by cuttings.:dbgrtmb::dbgrtmb:
