    Hi sorry i have no idea but i saw this on the net
    • Soak the Seeds in Warm Water. One of the most important steps for growing bananas from seeds is preparing the seed before it goes into the ground.
    • Prepare a Warm Outdoor Area. While the seeds are sprouting in the water, create the ideal outdoor area for the banana plant. ...
    • Plant the Seeds. After soaking the seeds, bring them to the potting area and bury them ¼ in. deep in the soil. Then, cover the soil with more compost.
    • Maintain the Right Conditions for Growth. Once the banana seeds are in the ground, keep the soil damp for at least two weeks. ...
    • Be Patient. Bananas take a long time to grow. Sometimes they will start to sprout through the soil in as little as two weeks or as long as two months.

      If you have had them for some time I think you might find that they have lost viability. But probably still worth a try, I've grown them from seed on a few occasions, I normally soak them in hot water for 24hours before sowing in 25 to 30c.
      Some people like to alter the temperature between day and night.

        Thank you Janet and Pete

        I have 4 seed so I will try both methods. I'm not very hopefully as I'm sure these seed come
        into ' vintage seed' ratings.

        But I don't like disregarding anything that has a chance .
        So fingers:fingers crossed: and everything else :scratch: crossed ,

        Wish me luck !!!!! :dig::planting:

        Ever had the feeling you've gone bananas :redx:Ever had the feeling you very gone bananas...??

          I have one, grown as a houseplant. If I'm not wrong, I believe I snipped a bit off the side with nail clippers before soaking.

          Hard, large seeds can also be left to germinate in a glass of water on the windowsill. As soon as they show signs of life, pot them up.

          It's "Pear shaped" in this household :biggrin:

            This sounds quite americany! Finding a warm spot outdoors in the uk could be confined to a very short window.
            I do the soak three days, change water daily. Barely damp vermiculite in a sealed polythene bag in a warm(28-32c) place. I've had germination in four days.....or up to two years!
