Hi, I have all three of the above mentioned plants in pots and as of yet, there is very little sign of life above the soil!
Is this normal given the cold, prolonged winter this year? (I'm in North England).

    Phil.

My echinaceas and heleniums are outside in the soil Phil, but they're are well up and being chewed by the slugs, in spite of the bitterly cold weather, including frost and snow that we've had for about the past two months. Are they in a spot which gets the sun when it does come out?

Oh dear it sounds as though they are well and truly dead. I'm worried my heleni pots are too small but the others should be fine sizes? I also have six leucanthemum, four of which are up but two aren't. Is that normal?
I only bought the achillea and echinacea this year so if they are not growing I will ask for replacements

I have attached images to show you what isn't growing! There is a bit of life in one of the achillea pots?

Mine are growing rapidly this last week. Chucked a load of of slug pellets around so hopefully they'll stay that way!
