    Hello,

I am Mrs Tea, and I live in the Northeast of England. I own an allotment (about 350 m²). My husband and I are new to gardening, and I was hoping to find inspiration as well as advice on this forum.

    Pleased to meet you all.

:sign0016: to GC @MrsTea lovely to have you join us.

New, you say; to gardening? May I suggest you grab yourself a cuppa, a biscuit or two to keep your sugar levels up and .... have a good nosey around! Sooooo much information on this site you might be here for a little while. :heehee:

I don't have an allotment but, when I joined here, I had a quarter of an acre garden and no idea what I was doing. Now, I have a smaller garden to worry about and still only have a fraction of the knowledge some of our lovely members have. But, you will soon find your knowledge increasing and your inspiration being teased and tantalised by different ideas, plants, methods and solutions.

Looking forward to seeing you around the forums :spinning:

Oh, by the way, one little nudge in the right direction ... some on here can be a right nosey lot :th scifD36: and just LOVE photos! If you need a plant identifying, a photo is a *must*; if you begin a project, then a before/after will be anticipated; if you do something you are proud of, a photo opportunity shouldn't be missed (but, we'll share in your joy even without one ;) ).

Hello all, thank you for the nice welcoming words! :)

Hello "M", well not quite new to gardening. We've had the allotment for a year, and we made a pretty good start in it last spring. I even managed to plant kohlrabi, chilies and tomatoes (and learned that pinching the shoots is *very* important ) but then due to a family crisis we had to travel a lot and the garden was left unattended from the end of July until now. All our effort for nothing.. well, not quite true. We did learn a bit.

We will make a new start, and hopefully this year we will be able to make most of the time we have, and most of the weather.

But there is so much to learn, so you're right: I better grab myself a cuppa and probably a whole box of biscuit :snorky:

A very warm :sign0016: from me too.

Sounds like you have a very busy gardening year ahead of you, I'm bursting to get out in my garden but it's so wet :rolleyespink:.

We are a really friendly lot, we talk about all sorts of things, sometimes we even fit in some garden chat!!! :heehee: Joking aside do ask as many questions as you need to, we all started off with No or little knowledge, it won't be long before we are asking your advice I'm sure!

I shall look forward to getting to know you & hearing all about your garden :)
