          Hi James, welcome to Gardeners Corner and congratulations on becoming a member of the GC Gang. If you want to ask some gardening questions it would, as Shiney, pointed out help anyone giving advice to know your area, and some details of your garden such as the direction your garden faces, i.e. North, South, East or West, approximate size, the kind of soil, Clay?, Sandy?, Stoney?, Loamy etc. You don't have to be exact but it does give the Gang a idea and help them to give the correct advice We have gardeners who garden from balconies, or a concrete backyard using containers, small gardens to those with a few acres. We have those who are new to gardening to those who are greatly experienced, those who specialise in growing certain plants and those who have allotments, so there is no shortage of good advice and friendship.

          Then you're a very lucky Man, James:love30::thumbsup:

                  The girls love helping out already to be honest my step daughter has helped us sort the back garden beds ready to grow in. Shes very good to be honest.

                  I've uploaded a load pictures for you guys to check out. In terms of the garden position from my back door the garden goes in a NE 50 Degree. We tend to have the morning sun on the back garden and the afternoon sun more on the front. But as we have a corner house some afternoon sun casts down the side of the house onto the back, Just where the grow beds & greenhouse sits.

                  Although we may need to get a smaller shed as the one we currently have is huge and casts some shadow.

                  Soil was like clay underneath, so i turned it with a rotatory and mixed some manure & compost into it. Hoping to improve the fertility of the soil over time.

                  Behind the Greenhouse we have put our compost bin, And filled it will all my kitchen waste, grass cuttings and wood shavings from the 4 guinea pigs.

                  As you can see my dog (Dexter) loves to jump into my photos just in time.
