Hello all, thank you for letting me join your forum.

I'm a complete novice to gardening and have always lived in houses with relatively small yards instead of a 'proper' garden.....however, we have just moved to a house which has lovely gardens front and back :) hence my new interests!

We are discovering all kinds of 'unknown' plants, bushes and trees. We're hoping that we've now found the right place for some knowledge and advice?

Am I ok firing lots of questions at you?

Thanks for taking the time to read.

    Steve

Hi Steve, welcome to Gardeners Corner:biggrin::thumbsup:. Yep, Penny is right, we have members here from outright beginners, to the experienced, professionals and specialists, all of whom are very friendly and more than will to give, and received, help and advice.

How about posting some pics of your "new garden" so that if and when you ask questions we've an idea of the site. It would also help if you could tell us which way your garden faces, North?, South?, East? or West?, and if possible the kind of soil it has, sandy?, clay?, stony? etc.

Hi folks and thank you for the welcome.

Our new garden faces east-south-easterly and is a little over 100ft long with a weeping willow tree dividing it roughly into two halves. The soil, I believe is clay.

I'll post some pictures real soon.

        Thanks again
        Steve
