Hi everyone, really looking forward to using this forum. I am nearing retirement and have always wanted to be a successful gardener but years ago it meant resorting to text books and I just got boggled by so much information and everything looked so complicated. But the internet has changed all that - a wealth of information and so many videos with hints and tips. This year for the very first time I have had success growing radishes and french beans and successfully taken some mallow and rose cuttings. I also visited my garden centre mid Summer (I previously only ever went for bedding in Spring) and I found some wonderful Summer flowering hardy perennials, exactly what my garden has been lacking and I have been really enjoying do research on every single plant on how to care for it and hopefully propagate when the time is right. So much to learn, it's just amazing.

Welcome to Gardeners Corner mogcat22. :) Gardening books are great for reference but being such a wide subject I can understand you getting bogged down by them. We're all here to help if necessary so enjoy your garden and growing.
