Hello from sunny Dorset

Hello everyone.

I recently purchased a house down here in the Bournemouth area and am very fortunate to have a decent sized South facing back garden consisting of loamy soil (I think) with plenty to keep me occupied.

The trouble is, I'm from London originally and have lived in flats for years so my gardening knowledge doesn't go much further than a few low maintenance house plants!

For various reasons I've not been able to do much gardening until now and it is in a right state. Having five dogs doesn't help much either but I've really enjoyed the experience so far and I'm really keen to learn as much as possible!

I've heard your area has some lovely sights to see and it is one of the places I plan to visit after having seen the touristy attractions, of course
