    Hi everyone.

    I am looking forward to getting lots of help and advice from this forum.
    I am about to embark on starting planting my garden pretty much from scratch and have no idea where to begin!

      Good idea to include a bit more info when posting....soil type , garden aspect, anything you definitely want to include and equally anything you don't want. How much time will you have to maintain it. Fruit/ veg/ cutting garden etc.

      So I have just had it completely returfed and had a border made along the fence.
      It's a southwest facing and I have tested the soil which is coming out neutral.
      I am thinking of growing some climbing plants up the fence, possibly jasmine.
      I'd like to stick to a colour theme of white and purple as I think that would look nice against the grey fence.
      I am after some ideas for evergreen shrubs so it doesn't look bare in the winter.
