Hi Pilch, welcome to Gardeners Corner! I bought my house brand new, 32 years ago and I'm still finding bricks etc as I dig the borders, so I hate to think what is still under the lawn I laid all those years ago.

Some weed killers do stay around in the soil for some time and take a while to degrade, which is possibly what's been happening to you. Turf it and see what happens!!

Glad you liked the story :)

I'll try and keep it updated with pictures, i do have a shiny new camera i use for taking pictures of my hobby (modelling) so i probably should take some "before", "during" and "after" pictures.

As penance, i have suggested my father next comes over with some gardening forks. Also i may have suggested my younger brothers pop over for some "fun outside". When/if they arrive, they'll be given a spade! >:D
