Hi, this is my first post and the subject was the main reason that led me to this forum. We were given a shrub some twenty years ago, that had an identifier in its pot but regretfully I have forgotten what the name of the said shrub was. What was one plant originally is now two, for when I moved the plants position after a couple of years the root divided. It is in flower at the moment so I have captured several pictures of the flower that I will be posting. Hopefully, someone may solve my problem by recognising and naming the shrub for me. Thankyou.bush1.jpgbush2.jpgbush3.jpgbush4.jpgbush3.jpg

Thank you to the members of the group who responded to the question that I posted.
You have identified my shrub as Hibiscus syriacus.
            Thank you
