Hi, this is my first post and the subject was the main reason that led me to this forum. We were given a shrub some twenty years ago, that had an identifier in its pot but regretfully I have forgotten what the name of the said shrub was. What was one plant originally is now two, for when I moved the plants position after a couple of years the root divided. It is in flower at the moment so I have captured several pictures of the flower that I will be posting. Hopefully, someone may solve my problem by recognising and naming the shrub for me. Thankyou. bush1.jpg bush2.jpg bush3.jpg bush4.jpg bush3.jpg

You have identified my shrub as Hibiscus syriacus.
            Thank you
