With me being new to gardening I need some help with a tiny plot I have built. The plot is 6’x4’ and the border in made up off surplus house bricks.
Can I add top soil and compost to the existing soil to build up the growing surface.
I forgot to say my plot is for salad growing. Any advice would be great.

yes you can add top soil + compost or manure to build it up, I mulch my veg beds annually with home made or bought compost to keep the soil healthy
