Does anyone know how to turn off e-mail notifications?

I've unticked to 'alerts' section in my profile - but the e-mails still come through.

    It's driving me bonkers....if that is possible...:rolleyespink:

If it's a specific thread then click on 'unwatch' at the top. I wonder if 'watching' overrides whatever you have in your profile.

I think you have to go the the threads which you get an e-mail(s) and unwatch that thread then click in your profile page not to recieve e-mail then you can then click watch that thread again then you should get a pop up when you click watch thread to recieve with out e-mail come up

if you have clicked for no e-mail you may get away with just unwatch then click watch you should get pop up to say with out e-mail

        Thanks :blue thumb:.

I've not noticed that before - the 'Unwatch Thread' bit. I've gone to one thread and pressed unwatch - I'll see what else comes through and 'unwatch' that as well.

Is the default position 'watch' for any threads that you create or participate in?

If you post in a thread you will get an alert top right but if you click no e-mail in your profile you shouldn't get any e-mails for any new threads you post in, but you will get e-mails from any old threads you posted in, unwatch any old threads then click watch a few second later should stop the e-mails but you will get the alerts at the top right if someone post's after you

If you hover your cursor over your name on the top bar you will see a choice of things you can change. Click on 'Privacy' and see what choices it offers you.

I'm not quite sure exactly what you want to achieve so can't give more precise advice. Have a look and see. :blue thumb:

@clanless Go to the "Contact Details" section in your profile, then untick "Receive email when a new conversation message is received" and save changes. Does that work? :)

          Yes.

It's one of these - so I've unticked each:

'Receive news and update emails' in Privacy - thanks shiney - and/or
'Receive email when a new conversation message is received' in Contact Details - thanks Nikolaos.

I'll check on my e-mails and see what happens - but it sounds like its been sorted. :blue thumb:
