    well we did it before it got dark (hubby had to be up at silly oclock for work) but then hens were generaly docile. the bentams didnt like me touching very far up their legs though, so it must have hurt them :( here's hoping the treatment works.

    omg we got 5 eggs yesterday! i cant remember the last time all the hens laid in one day! we had gone down to 2 a day. wohoooo!

    :) It might have just been the warm weather and the hens are back in a routine with "normal" British weather again. Or if you've got rid of the blood sucking little b******* then there can be quite a dramatic quite quickly. Either way, glad to hear :)

    Congratulations on the five eggs! It's so much fun to go out there and find them isn't it? Our ducks tend to change their laying location on a regular basis, so every now and then it becomes a game of hide and seek with the eggs.

    Great thread by the way - lots of useful information on the poultry problems and solutions!
