Top one is some sort of Labiate, second one could be a spindly looking Tansy. Not being much help there am I.

You got me confused with the other bloke:snork:

I was having a cigarette in a church yard where we were working with a young apprentice.

I pointed out the Bugle flowers and explained them to the lad, showing him the 2 lipped flowers that gives the genus the name.

I said that "As you know, Labia is Latin for lips."

There was a pause and a look of confusion on the lads face before he said,

"I do know that, how do I know latin for..........."

      "......Oh"

      :snork:

Just goes to show, you can remember anything if it's got meaning for you!

Plant 1 looks like it could be a marjoram or an oregano, I can't quite tell what the scale is. They are not peppery. however.

Plant 2 could be one of those achillea millefoliums, or a goldenrod. Has it got a strong medicinal smell?
