Yes Scrungee - lots of timber sculptures and log stepping stones. It was done really nicely. It was not out of place in the garden and yet the kids had a great time scrambling over them. It was nice to see a beautiful garden incorporate some simple but effective things for the younger garden appreciaters! My kids love visiting gardens but I know small people can be a bit annoying at times! :D

I guess one day I might get to look around the gardens instead of just working at these places.

Bear with me, those of you who have seen these pics before, but we've had a few new members since then.

We needed a large working platform to strip the roof off. It had to be strong enough to take the weight of the lead coming off.

Even though the whole scaffold was sheeted over, great care was taken to ensure there was no water penetration to the fabric of the castle.

A secondary tent was erected above The Kings Room, imagine humping lead about inside 2 greenhouses:sunny: Some cruel & unusual punishment there.

We provided further protections to the antiques within the castle including the Kings Bed.

The walk ways served 2 purposes, we hoisted the lead up to them to move it outside on the working platform, some days the National Trust showed paying visitors round.

    How gardens look to Pidgeons:heehee:

Wow. Great pictures ziggy. I'll show those to the Wolfie family too. The scaffolding is amazing! Quite a construction in itself!
