Just thought I'd introduce myself before I post anything else.

I'm knocking 50 and have a disability that makes bending and walking tiresome for me, and my energy levels are lower than normal (sometimes very low, sometimes reasonable).

My own garden is a nightmare jungle of weeds but because the housing association have refused to cut back the huge field maple that grows in it, it's very shady and I kind of lost interest. I'm a sunshine person - I also have PVD which means my circulation is terrible so anything under 25 degrees and I think it's chilly.

Mum has recently moved up and bought a bungalow thought. The garden there's pretty much a blank canvas so I'm reviving my gardening interest by trying to create the garden she's always dreamed of having. Luckily, hers is drenched in sunshine all day (well, when we get sunshine that is).

I've been gardening since I was in my early 20s, sometimes with a proper garden, sometimes with just a balcony, but there's still much to learn.

I'm looking forward to becoming part of the community here :-)

Hi Dioritt & [IMG].. Well there should be plenty of ideas on here for you & we are all here to help so ask questions whatever & if we can help we will, or if necessary commiserate or whatever with you.. :thmb: Your Mum's garden sounds a great place t get your interest going again & you never know a new interest for your own garden again, even if it is only to make it nice to look at through the window... :D:thmb: So look forward to seeing you around..
