Hi to everyone from sunny Cheshire (at least for today) :)

I'm loving the forums and and have found loads of useful advice already; I obviously have a lot to learn!

Bit of background: I've lived in lots of properties all of which had a garden but which my other half designed and took care of - I just helped out with the heavy work like digging and moving stuff ;)
Since our split, I've now got my own place with a nice size garden. Spent the first year fixing up the house and last year got stuck into removing a 50ft long 'hedge' that had grown into 20ft high trees.... replaced that with a new closeboard fence and that was it, my year was gone.
Today, on a beautiful suuny day, I've managed to clear 100% of the rubbish left by previous owners and 100% of the 'rubbish' (i.e. hedge) left by me, so feeling pretty good!!

I have a grand plan for my design....just need to figure out how to achieve it on my meagre budget so will have plenty of questions .......:)
