Hello everyone. I have just joined the forum and thought I would introduce myself. I live in Tonbridge in West Kent where I have a large garden, stretching to around 100ft, with flower beds, apple trees, and a small veg garden. I love gardening and find it very relaxing after a week working in the city. We moved to this house around 10 years ago and the garden was a total mess with huge areas of brambles to be cleared and flower beds just a mass of weeds and overgrown bushes. It has been a voyage of discovery, hard back breaking work, but the garden has slowly developed and is now my pride and joy. I have lost some of my favourite plants this winter gone, including a Yucca that I bought with me to this house. Some plants have suffered but may be saved. I am hoping to pick up some advice and help using the forum and hopefully pass on things that I have learnt the hard way during my gardening years! :)

Hi Kentman and welcome. Must be something to do with this area, you exactly described the state of our garden when we moved in. We cheated though - my husband talked the farmer (whose land backs onto our garden) into grubbing out our brambles, overgrown shrubs and general undergrowth with his mini digger :hehe:
