    Hi,

    signed up to ask a couple of questions to help my old mother get bits of her garden sorted.
    Bit confused by the initial registration - would have been very helpful after confirming the email to get a message telling me my account was pending awaiting approval before I could post!

      Hi NR, welcome to Gardeners Corner and congratulations on becoming a member of the GC Gang. Please ask whatever you want and you will find the GC Gang will be very friendly and helpfull. What would be of great assistance if you could describe your Mum's garden, i.e: What direction does it face, is it shady, what kind of soil is in the garden, (sandy, clay, stoney??)

        Sorry the registration process was bit confusing - we had a problem a while back with a lot of spammers hitting our boards, and we decided to implement a process where one of the staff team has to approve each and every new account; we thought it worthwhile, as we think a lot of our members and they deserve the right to use the forum without spam. From your feedback, I will take a look at the process and see if there is a way that we can make things a bit clearer :)
