    Hi every one,

I came across this web site whilst googling advise for my various gardening queries. It's exactly what I was looking for - an active forum with lots of knowledgeable people who want to share their experiences and advice.

I'm pretty new(ish) to the gardening/allotment scene, having moved into a new place with my girlfriend last year. The first year was spend reclaiming the garden, as the previous owners were obviously garden fans but to due to age/illness had let it grow wild. So this summer is the first real season I'll have playing out.

I'm going for a cottage garden feel, using existing roses, shrubs and trees and just hoping thing look and smell nice in the coming months.

I have a small veggie patch at the bottom of the garden with potatoes in tyres, trellis fro beans and peas, some beds for soft fruit (blueberries, rasps and rhubarb).

And also two ponds, one which i described as the ornamental which over flows in to the "nature" pond which in turn over flows into my newly constructed bog garden.

So plenty to keep me busy!!

Lots of questions to come I'm sure.

    Thanks and hello.
    Ric
