I'm gradually working through the seeds in my large box, most of which I should just throw out, but have had success in germinating Hibiscus trionum from 2004
However on looking for more info I find that in the USA it is regarded widely as a self seeding pest and very invasive. The seed, they say, remains viable for a long time (he he). Just wondered if anyone has grown it and/or has any views on whether to grow it on and release it  ;)

I've grown it for three years and the sodding thing barely produces seed let alone self seeds itself. Plant it out as it's a gem!

That's brilliant news (from my point of view) ;) Thanks! Here's hoping it doesn't get too rampageous in my more southerly climate, but hey ho, it sounds like a plant I wouldn't mind being overrun by

      They're easily pulled out anyway.
