We have had to cut back our old grape vine as the lodgier which supported it became unsafe and had to be removed. It's now weeping badly. Ive checked online and a sealant has been recommended. I don't have any and in the current circumstances feel reluctant to go out and by any. Does anyone have any home remedy suggestions please?

It will stop, eventually, but it does take energy out of the plant.
Pruning is best done before the end of January at the latest.

I'd be interested in the product you have found as I've never managed to stop one weeping once it starts.
