Honours List , The Good , The Bad .......

The queens birthday honours list has been announced. Deservedly Monty Don has been given an MBE . But in a classic example of bad timing , Mark Carne , the outgoing boss of Network Rail was appointed a CBE amid continued rail disruption. I bet he is hard faced enough to accept it as well . You can't make this stuff up !

 

Yes congratulations Monty , one of our own.
I don’t begrudge him it ,he has given me many hours of pleasure and knowledge.

 

Is Shiney on the list?

 

Personally, I tend to have nothing against old Monty, but why the hell does he get an honour???
He just does a bit of wandering around at our expense and has a really nice garden, I bet the house aint bad either.
He does his job, but then so do a lot of other people.

This honours thing needs sorting out.
It's not what you know, or do, it's who you know.
I think honours should be totally scrapped, it's out dated and stupid.

That is, until I get mine, I'm still waiting

Regarding getting a gong ..........Pete obviously an oversight
