Hosta Seedlings

    i have some hosta plants taken by seed last year they are about 3in tall can I over winter these, All the parent plants are dying down now and I always leave them in the ground

    Hi Nathan well done you , you must tell us more of how you suceeded.

    Are youir seedlings in pots, if so ?? I would keep in the greenhouse or a cold frame over winter , then plant out in the spring , if in the open ground I would use a bark mulch around them a good inch thick this will help keep them cosy over the winter , I will be doing the same with my dayliyl's .
