    Hello
Slightly odd subject but... we have the odd fly zooming around sometimes 2 or 3 but mostly one. In the kitchen or TV/ reading room. These are annoying more than anything landing on leg or even nose.
We bought a blue light thingy and it is totally useless. The sticky things that hang down work well but wife won't have them. You dispatch one and another one takes its place. tweet tweet tweet. They are not driving me mad!

Is there a something that does the job and works 24/7

I've noticed more around this year and they seem to be more "friendly" than usual.
Perhaps they are attracted to sweat.

And wearing shorts more landing space available. I had thought of spray starch if it is still available.

You try a Venus Flytrap, Hans.

      or a Sarracenia (Pitcher Plant)

I have a collection of both in my Green House but they're only there for convenience. They will grow quite happily on a windowsill or even outside as they are hardy. My Venus Flytrap is doing a grand business in flies and have earned their place in the Carnivorous Plant collection. If you think that's a reasonable idea then get one from a Special Grower online......something like Venus Flytrap "Darwinii" will be fairly big and will catch flies 24/7:hate-shocked::paladin::cat-kittyandsmiley::coffee:

Never though of the Fly trap. If I can find one locally it will be on my kitchen windowsill very soon, otherwise from a online grower.

I was told some years ago that if you drop a shiny penny into a plastic bag full of water and hang it or them in open doorways and windows, the flies won't come in. I've not tried it but was assured that it works. :)

Is that because Flies fly towards the shiny penny, and bang their heads on the bag of water and that gives them a penny for their thoughts, Sheal.:doh::hate-shocked:
