Having spoken to my sister today I expressed my wish to sell the family home (house) sooner rather than later as I have to temporarily retire from work and need some funds to tie me over, Sis is discussing the possibility of "Buying me Out" but thinks she maybe subject to capital gains tax, I hope she's not playing for time and hoping I peg it? Told her I'd made a will, should have seen her face drop!

Plain speaking is best Vince. It avoids misinterpretation, assumption and ambiguity.
It may not be valued at the time but is important thereafter :)
Nothing wrong in trying to sort out your affairs
Your sis has a choice...buy you out or accept a sale to someone else :)

If she is thinking about buying you out she should engage a solicitor and get advice on capital gains tax from them.

Having just gone through probate and changing part ownership of a house I can say that it is money well spent.
