How can I get (or stop) email alerts for new posts?

    Method 1

    You can deselect forums for watching and therefore getting email alerts.

    Deselect Watched Forums by removing the tick

    Method 2 - not unlike Ebay!

    Use the link in the email to go to the thread concerned
    At the top right hand corner of the page you will find this

    Click on it and you get this overlay which you just click and that should be it.

    However, if you want to watch a thread, click on the "Watch Thread"

    Now you can choose to watch it and have it show up in your account but not send you email alerts.
