I would like to paint two small gates on some decking. Now these have been treated with a clear decking oil over the last two years . If I use a gloss ( oil based) paint , how do I stop the oiled finish seeping through in 6 or 12 months ? What would seal the decking oil in 100% ?
    TIA

I think I'd sand it back first then use stain block.

Thanks Zilly and Zigs , so I will sand it back well and use the stain block as a primer undercoat :blue thumb:
