My dog kindly knocked over my bird bath and broke. It's a nice piece and I've had it for a long time. I will do my best to make it good again. Any advice on products or techniques would be appreciated. It doesn't have to look perfect as the imperfectioncan always be hidden from view.

    Thanks.

My bird bath came from Wyevale quiet a few years ago and they were not cheap either but I think there must be a bit of a weakness in the pottery side of things:sad:

The photo of the bird bath full of water is on the pedestal not sitting on the grass so perhaps you could still use yours if you can’t fix it by just sitting it on the grass:scratch:

Araldite is the best adhesive for ceramics; nothing else is as good. My opinion is based on experience.

So it is between Epoxy or PU,
Trouble with PU is it expands when setting, can run out during curing.
At least Epoxy stays where you put it.

Only just spotted this Gary. Have you fixed it?

I think I might have tried planting the base upside down in a pit of strong mix concrete and stick the bowl on top of that :snorky:

Hi @Tetters . Yes I fixed it. I used gorrila grab adhesive. It comes in a tube like window sealant. It seems to have done the trick. It's been standing strong ever since. The dog still has a drink from every now and then, which is what broke it in the first place.
