Since you're all such helpful souls, can you advise on this please?
We just got a baby bunny and her hutch is perfect, except the rain is falling directly into the hutch depending on the direction of rainfall. I don't want her sitting in wet as she tends to sit at the wired door a lot - the floor there is currently soaking.
Any thoughts on how to easily (ie. Me doing it!) lengthen the roofing to give a bit more protection please?

Cheap way ive used to protect logs from getting wet at the front of the log store...... hang a piece of fine netting across the front that will direct the rain straight down.

Failing that... length of corrugated plastic roofing placed on hutch roof with an overhang to it. About a fiver in b&q etc.

Poor bunny - yes, I'm sure it's much better for her health to stay dry.

I was going to suggest the corrugated plastic too. You could sit it on top just when it's wet and hold it down with something like bulldog clips, or even just a couple of bricks.

Or you could use some tarpaulin to make an awning, but that would require a bit of a framework as well.

I love the corrugated plastic idea. I childminder so I didn't want anything permanently sticking out as it's child height.
Will visit b&q tmor. Thanks guys!!
