    Hi

Has anyone had any experience with hypericum nummalarium? I bought it from a nursery a couple of months ago and stuck it straight in a pot.
Apart from growing a little bit, it doesn't do much and it's quite uninteresting.
Is it a flowering plant? When is it likely to bloom? Should I be doing anything to help it along?
    It seems healthy enough.
    Thanks

Yes it will have yellow flowers in the summer Andrea, it won't do anything now at this time of year. Yours is only a baby. Not too sure if it will need frost protection for its roots being in a pot.
We have Hypericum ( albeit not nummalarium) growing in our borders and we cut it right back to ground level each Autumn.

I'm sure someone will be along with more relevant info on yours soon.:)

@Upsydaisy thanks so much, I found it difficult to find much on it online. Must be a relatively unknown species. I'll leave it alone then. Maybe bubblewrap the pot over winter.
      Thanks again

I actually really like the look of that, be interested to find out how big it gets and what the flowers look like.

@pete I will update when it flowers. To be fair, it only cost £1.50 from the nursery. The man had a fair few but limited stock of everything else so I bought one. If it turns out nice, I'll buy some more next year.

I did look it up, appears to be a rock plant growing in places like the Pyrenees.
So good drainage I would think.

Yes I looked it up too @pete. I'll be over the moon if it looks as pretty as those images . Yeah the pot has drainage holes but I added some pebbles to the bottom before I potted it. I haven't watered it much either (mainly through forgetfulness) but it doesn't seem to mind, coming from the North east, rain is never in short supply haha
