    How the hell do I get rid of yahoo as my search engine? Had to do a full system restore on this feffing laptop and now everythings gone pear shaped. New Laptop in the pipeline

    Hi Vince, I'm no techie, but I think you click on 'Tools', then 'Internet options', then in the 'General' tab there's a white box where your default search engine is displayed. Just erase that and type in the address of the search engine you want as default. Click on 'OK' at the bottom and you're done!

      Settings>System>Default Apps>Web Browser>Internet Explorer (or anything else you've installed)

      Got windows Vista! My laptop has given up the ghost. Currently borrowing a Macbook so a whole new learning experience.
