    Hi,

This is my first of many posts on here I hope. I am currently in the orocess of sorting my garden out and am looking for lots of advice in various things.

I have this large shrub in my back garden and it's getting a bit out of hand. I really like it but it needs a good chop. Would like to know what it is and when and how best to prune it. The photos I have attached are of it now but it does come out with little white flowers durng the summer.

    Thanks in advance

    Rach

    Welcome to the forums Rach.
Lots of friendly folk here to help.

Your shrub looks like a Philadelphus coronarius...common name Mock orange.
    Scented white flowers. ...see link
I will leave pruning advice to others!
