    I found these little guys growing behind a wall in my garden. Are they worth potting up to plant somewhere else in the garden once they get a bit bigger?

    I think they might be Ash seedlings.

      Thanks for the steer. I looked up Ash and the leaves do look the same as these. I'm thinking these probably aren't trees that would suit my garden because they grow very large.

        If they're ash (they certainly look like them but for some reason there's just a little doubt in my mind - I took out over 100 a fortnight ago!) then they can be hard to get out if that ground is dry. Even at that size they can have a deep tap root.

          Agree with Pete and Shiney: Ash seedlings I remove a large number every year, remove as soon as possible or they become very hard to pull out.
