Identification please? Blackcurrant Bush??

    Please could someone identify this bush, which is currently in blossom? my wife thinks it's a blackcurrant bush, but I am not sure:dunno:

    :WINK1: Your Good Lady is nearly right.. It is Flowering Current - Ribes sanquineum I think....

      This is Ribes ..'Flowering Currant' grown as an ornamental shrub ,it does often produce berries but these are very bitter and not used as edable fruit...
