    First one looks like some kind of Aloe.
    Second, just a stab, I'm wanting to say Bryophyllum.:biggrin:

      Second pic could be Kalanchoe (harpoon leaf or Elk Antlers type).

        Thank you both … with your help I have now been able to identify the plants.
        First one is Aloe striata
        Second one is a Kalanchoe hybrid called 'Elk Antlers'
