If You could go back in time Travel , who would be the person you would most want to see and converse with?. Personally I would like to meet and converse with,(and have a few drams with), would be, Rabbie Burns. I bet He could tell a few great Tales, And he could drink a few great Ales ... .
Good thread Music! But it's difficult to pin it down to one choice. For me it would have to be Mary, Queen of Scots. I'd really like to know what happened in her life and what sort of personality she was. I believe she was not guilty as charged but quite naive during her reign.
Wow, major pondering for this one. Humm. As a Christian, would love to see Jesus. Financially, would love to take the lottery numbers with me and play the ones that are going to win. Personally, would love to see my parents in their young days prior to meeting each other. Personally, would love to no not to marry my first husband, and ignore him when he entered my life. Would love to chat with a historical doctor and give him insight to what he "really" is missing to make people better.
Assuming your time machine comes with a babel fish (other universal translators are available) as would be necessary considering language has changed significantly, even locally, in as little as a century, then for me it would be Genghis Kahn.
Richard III - because I cannot believe he had a massive personality change the moment his brother died and I'd like to know the truth. Elizabeth I - just to hear her speech at Tilbury.
But, if I did go back and ignore my first husband, then who knows idiot later I might not have ignored and where that would have taken me.
For me it would be Gertrude Jekyll & Vita Sackville-West my two favourites.. Their style foresight, knowledge, imagination & writings... There are also family members I would love to go back & meet as well perhaps..
For me, the founder of my local botanic gardens and great plant entrepreneur Arthur Kilpin Bulley. Arthur Bulley basically help get George Forrests plant collecting career off the ground... If I could meet him i would ask him what made him create the gardens, and what he would think of thousands of people visited his gardens, which helped the community, every year
