Now I know I'm going to sound bad here, but is there someway that we can ignore certain threads.
I'm sure others have different threads that don't interest them, but they still keep appearing in the new thread section, and the only way to get rid of them,.... is to look at them.

All the time I keep looking at threads that dont interest me just to get them out of my view.

    Yours disgusted,
    Somewhere near Tunbridge Wells.

Thankyou for that very long winded reply.
It must be a record, your shortest reply as yet.:blue thumb:

The long answer is yes, but only if a Xenforo software 'add on' is installed. I understand there's 2 available, one that just blocks stuff from appearing in news feed and new/recent posts, and another that also hides user defined forums, threads, etc. from view.

Good morning Early Birds. I just go into New Posts and scroll down and read those of interest to me and ignore the rest. Maybe it is easier on a tablet than a phone. I also Mark Forums Read when I am through each time.

@Victoria I use a phone and that's what I do. I look at the new posts and see what interests me and ignore the rest, it's easy.

Well yes that's what I do.
But I was just thinking would it not be good if the ones you keep ignoring were to not be there.
In short just tick them and then they don't show up again.

It's not just you, it's one of the most frequenly requested improvements requested by webmasters running Xenforo on their forums, but don't hold your breath waiting for it in an update, as they've been asking for over 10 years.

Don't get this  If you go straight into 'New Posts' by default, and only look at the titles you're interested in, and then only click on the little symbol on the right, you don't need to get rid of anything.

I know, I know, but it gets cluttered with stuff you don't want to see ,and they only disappear if you click on them see the page come up and then go back to new posts.

If it carries on like this I will be ignoring this thread. ;)

Pete, if you mark them all read (top left) they will all go away after you have read what you want to. When you go back to New Posts, the others are gone. Then repeat.

What, like loads of new stuff posted on the likes of 'Games' all but obscuring any new gardening posts?

Some gardeners might not be at all interested in wading through loads of non-gardening posts. Why some people cannot understand gardeners only wanting to see gardening posts escapes me, plus some gardeners may only want to see the specific forums they're interested in, and why not?
