Well, the church missions’ Christmas Market was VERY quiet on the Saturday - definitely lessons need to be learned for publicity. But I took three years’ worth of Inktober drawings to sell. (As each one is done in a day, they tend to be less detailed - all takings were given to the missions).
Considering the relatively quiet footfall, I was pleased to sell 6 drawings, which means €150 euros donated! I’ve updated the drawings on this thread to show which ones from this year are now sold...

That's good of you to donate for them.

I've helped out a few similar local organisations in how to do their publicity. Sticking up a few posters and getting the advertisement into the parish magazines is just not enough. I usually don't mince words and tell them they need to be much more proactive and get up off their bums and go out and promote their event. Print up simple leaflets and take a stack to every club in the area. That's how we have been able to get over 400 people to our open garden each year. :blue thumb:

I don't know what it's like over there but we have lots of clubs and groups in local halls etc. Bridge clubs, keep fit groups (lots of them around here), sports clubs (cricket, football, tennis, bowls, etc.), gardening clubs, flower arranging clubs, W.I., classes at evening classes, and the more modern thing of local social media groups. This is a good group to use as it's usually very local and members can post anything on the site.
