    Hi everyone,
Just a quick note to introduce myself, my name is Stuart and live up in Gullane, East Lothian in the dry but windy Scottish golf coast. I am very proud of my lawns (I use an old 30" Atco Balmoral) and hedges (in particular our pleached Hornbeam), my wife looks after the plants and beds. We are also lucky enough to have a very productive grape vine in the greenhouse.
I have an issue with my lawn that I will post now also but looking forward to learning and tapping in to all the expertise on this site.
    Regards
    Stuart

Hi Stuart and a very warm welcome.

Hey matey. An Atco Balmoral. Wowee! It's music to my ears to to hear, or read about great mowers of yesteryear. Having in past times worked in the parks depts etc. Atco, Dennis 24 &36" Ransomes. Really great names in mowers. Looking on the net. These machines are classics and are raising some fantastic prices. Of course nowadays, these machines are the pride and joy of the prfessionals. The top class groundsmen, the green keepers, and the bowling green keepers.

The reason being. These machines had a cutting bare of sixteen blades. Compared to most mowers that usually had just four blades. Now. Today most gardeners cope with electric flymos and the like. Hope to hear more from you Stuart.
