Is it too late to plant Stipa Tennuisima?

    I know the spelling is wrong but hope you know what I mean I live in the north of England and have heavyh soil . I would like to plant 'Pony Tails' grass but dont know whether I should wait until Spring or even use seed as I need 6 plants and they are rather expensive. As its evergreen though Im willing to pay as long as it will last the winter.
