    Hey everyone,

I'd recently bought a daphne online which looked fine on delivery. I'd left it outside for 2 weeks and it had rained really heavily for a few days. Now the leaves are all drooping badly. Can it be saved?

Has it had too much water?

As far as I know Daphnes like water but like any young plant they can have too much of a good thing. It certainly looks like a root problem, did you re-pot it on delivery? I wonder if it might have dried out in the post if it was delayed.

It was in a tiny pot when it arrived. I repotted it and left it outside but it must have been wet for around 1-2 weeks. The compost was quite muddy yesterday so i changed the compost for alpine compost so it has added grit and i added some perlite.

Think you have done the right thing, keep it sheltered and out of the sun and maybe it will recover.
