    Hello cherished gardeners! :)

I am after some advise. I planted perennial Gaillardia Grandiflora from the pot bought at the nursery one week ago. All seemed good and then the high winds happened.

Now the plant looks quite saggy! I have another of those perennials next to it which still looks fine, so what happened to this one! Was it the winds and lots of rain water recently? Would it recover itself this season or it's asta la vista to this one? :(

It looks dry to me, you might have had a lot of rain but has the rootball dried out?

I just watered it as its positioned on the slope so maybe water drains off there quicker? will see if it gets worse or better,, How do I know if rootball is dry?

Dig it up and have a look, its only been there a week so you will be able to tell.
Peat based composts dry out and are difficult to rewet.
