I've been collecting the run-off rainwater from the gutters of my Greenhouse to use on my Rhododendron (Rhod 'E' dendron?) and noted that it turns green everso fast?

Is it ok to use for said watering purpose?

Maybe there's an easy way to filter it, if need be

as long as the Rhody doesn't mind it then I certainly don't, its not like I'm planning to drink it!

It seems to only take a few days to go like this.

    Thanks everso for your help?

NB: I don't think the housebrick (there to prevent the bucket blowing away) has anything to do with it, as I immersed same house brick in tap water for a few days with no effect. Green Rainwater 4393.JPG Green Rainwater 4394.JPG

You actually have a recipe for making green water there.

A clear bucket with no lid.

The green is algae which grows because the water is in full light.
Water kept in the dark will stay clear.
