I'm really pleased with the young Privet bushes that I've grown from cuttings, and feeling kinda 'precious' about 'em as the 'take' rate was quite poor.

I planted a very small one last year in Sept' I think and it never really grew, eventually dieing off entirely.

Its now early August and I'm thinking maybe now is about right to plant them???

The biggest ones are about 2 years old and they're going within an existing bush in the Cotswolds UK area.

Also if anyone 'd like to share any partic tips for giving them the best chance of transplant success they'll be gratefully received.

    Thanks

Potted plants can be planted at any time of the year. Water the plant the evening before planting, then dig the hole, fill said hole with water and allow to drain away. Plant the privet, firm the soil around it, then water it in.
